I have a friend.
Believe it or not.
And believe this or not… her name is April.
I know. Can you imagine? I guess December and February were taken. Ha!
Seriously, though, I’m kidding. Everyone deserves to have their own name of choice (even if it is April). So, seriously, though, of course you would expect with a name like that you are going to get teased at least during a certain month of the year. Let me guess which one… Ha! Is it April? Am I right? Ha!
No, really, am I right? Yes, I am! One point for me.
But really, what I seriously mean to say is that if you know someone named April, then on April Fool’s Day you need to do something funny to remind her that her month has arrived. It’s expected, right? Let her not forget for a moment that for an entire month there will be funny teases and funny jokes and funny comments and funny sayings and funny pranks and funny stories and funny…well, other funny things for the full month. The full month. Imagine that. Getting attention for a whole month. All to yourself. Being the object and focus of friends and family and others in your community for the complete month, day after day after day. Can you imagine? All that attention. All those people thinking about you.
It actually doesn’t sound bad.
Hmmm…Maybe I’ll see if the name July is available.
